I have a mostly built but unpainted Heyford, as well as an unbuilt Lysander. I might finish the Heyford someday, but the Lysander will remain unbuilt. Though I'm holding out hope of finding a Revell reboxing of it that I can build.
Why can't you build the Lysander? Which kit do you have?

I have the same 1:32 scale Lysander kit you do, and I "can't" build it because it's so old yet as-new in the box, and I have serious nostalgia for Matchbox kits in the old style of box :) So it's in my modest collection of old kits that will never be built because of being vintage.

I built a couple of the 1:32 scale Matchbox aircraft when I was young (the SBD Dauntless, Spitfire and Bf 109), but also always liked the Lysander in the catalog, though I never bought it. That's why I would like to find a reasonably priced Revell issue of it, because those are less vintage and I don't care nearly as much about Revell as I do about Matchbox :)

Local antique mall is having a sale. I spotted this a couple weeks ago and thankfully it was still there...and at 25% off!

Well, in a few months you can thank me for causing the value of your kit to go up- because I'm building mine!

Vintage nostalgia. I like that. Besides, look at it this way. If you do, down the road open it up and decide to build it? You might find it slightly warped. The decals will hit the water and disintegrate and you'll be sitting there going why the hell did I open this box up? When it looks so cool sitting up on the Shelf. Unopened.

I have one of these in my stash. It's under the half finished USS Missouri. I look at it then immediately look for something else.

Oh, it is opened. Unlike in the USA (or so I've been told), kits here are not always sold shrinkwrapped, especially not in the 1970s and '80s. This one almost certainly wasn't, but it is complete and not warped as far as I could see. The decals shouldn't be a problem either — Matchbox's were a bit like Tamiya's in being pretty much indestructible, except they didn't need to soak as long (well, back then, anyway) and they stick to bare plastic.

This arrived a couple of days ago, I have to say I'm impressed about the kit itself, It is not the Premium (which I would purchase instead of this standard version, I got this and the related 3d printed 3rd party set from the same gentleman on Scalemates) but I lack the Ginger Cat masks and the Red Fox £d cockpit decals that the premium edition also includes. The only gripe I have without having built the kit is that there are no cockpit instrument panel decals included. Hey ho.
