Yeah they "dropped" a package off for us the other day- heard it hit the ground from inside the house!

I have a similar one for soldering.forewarned
I have ordered many an item with the actual thing delivered being very different from what was in my head. Generally found a use somewhere though and haven't trashed anything....... yet. PanthermanB forewarned. I was kind of hoping it was a cutting mat but I don't know where the heck I got that idea. It is not a cutting mat which kind of disappointed me but I'll get over it
Needle diamond files. Great purchase.Presents
I was using some small whetstones for jewelry making or something. Had them forever. And I heard you guys use these on your PE so I decided to upgradeNeedle diamond files. Great purchase.
I only have one, and it does an amazing job on those pesky PE nubs.
The way we advertise our purchases in this thread, we should all be getting sponsorship deals!I just wish every time I said micro mark I would get $10 off my next purchase but I think that's wishful thinking??
The mail? All that stuff came from micro mark. Roughly 4 days or maybe five since I ordered. Everything I ordered came in a nice box. Delivered by FedEx. Nice and neat and complete. I will never use hobbyist Haven again. My stuff arrived in three separate packages. My magnets I got in one week. My other two packages arrived approximately one month and 6 days later. And two of the things I ordered already broke. I am so sick of getting cheap crap that breaks almost immediately. And we all know where it comes from.
No. Not by the post office. Shipped FedExThe mail?
I know I'm a bit late on this, but I absolutely LOVE my blue silicone mat. I do everything on. Yes, it attracts dust, dirt, but a quick wipe with a spray cleaner removes the more stubborn stuff, most of the time I can just blast it with my air compressor or a can of air and that clears off the debris. I bought a lighter blue, making smaller parts easier to see.Presents! The jury is out on the blue micro mark silicone mat. I haven't even used it yet but I set it down on my worktop and it seems to attract every little particle of dirt and dust and dog hair. Good thing it was cheap.. I won't feel so bad if I need to trash it. But it is kind of cool it has compartments all over the place and magnetic places
I'm liking that Matt more and more. If I don't need it I just roll it up and stick it somewhere. Yeah stuff sticks to it but a quick Shake and I'm good to go. I like it for when a part has a lot of small pieces. I got somewhere to put them after I clean them up. Especially when part 17 goes underneath part 18 and halfway over part 19. And all three parts look almost the same!I know I'm a bit late on this, but I absolutely LOVE my blue silicone mat. I do everything on. Of course, now I put down a waterproof pad to work on (to keep the protective mat clean, LOL) and will also put my cutting mat down onto that. It makes clean up much easier, especially in the beginning of a build where I'm sanding, filing, cutting flash and nubs. When I'm done, I just roll up the pad, and toss it. On lighter days, I'll reuse it.
There were also other great options, sandwich wraps and baking parchment sheets, (both are waterproof). This will protect your work area.
Of course, for many, they have a dedicated bench, with a cutting mat as their base, but I work on my desk in "my" (shared) office, so at the end of my modeling time, I can set everything off to the side, keeping the desktop clear.
I also have a silicone soldering mat, which is white and makes seeing things much easier.
I've since picked up several more for various tasks around the house. I love having that mat as a work space, it helps keep parts contained, smaller parts can be placed into the small cubbies, or spots and the magnets prevent smaller metal pieces, (such as the screws for the Agora builds) from migrating to somewhere other than the workspace.
