The battle of Malta is among my favorite subjects, and I was not aware the 190s were involved!Speaking of future projects...

He's illustrated some out of Sicily and Brindisi, Italy, June and July '43.190s
As a theme, only seems natural! When I get to it, I hope that there are at least some Italian planes on offer... and I agree, his work is amazing. That will be a cool theme. I love Caruana's illustrations.
The Lancaster is one plane I don't have in my stash but really want to get.You guys are a terrible influence.......
This just slammed into the stash with a back spin.....

That's how I felt when Mike posted the Airfix 1/72, found a good deal, not cheap, but a good deal. The Lancaster is one plane I don't have in my stash but really want to get.
Nice! I have that kit sitting in my stash as well (on a shelf in the crawlspace). You guys are a terrible influence.......

All you need now is a Grant(As do I, TBH …)
Nice choice, well done your better half. PanthermanThe wife wanted to go to Target to buy a gift for a baby shower and of course HL is right next door. We went over and took a look at kits but I didn't see anything that caught my attention. I asked my wife if anything looked interesting to her and she said "the only one I see is this one".

I have yet to build an MPC kit so we'll see how it goes when I get to it.

And at 40% off I had to get it.

They used to me on par with Mongram/Revell, circa 1980s I mean. One thing they were fond of was allowing three distict builds in a single box. Not just different stickers but hoods and scoops and seats and sometimes roll-cages. I have an old Mustang kit I'll probably never build that came with a stock/street-custom/race configuration, but they were far from excellent. That said it looks like they have a new logo, and it says right there on the the box it is all new tooling. Plus it uses the voiage term "deluxe" which proves it is above the restHopefully MPC isn't a subsidiary of Revell or Lindberg.
Nice! Been eying that howitzer! Some version of that fits in with Torch and Tunisian campaigns... Will certainly be watching when you build that one!US halftracks
Got yourself some real bargains. PanthermanJust back from SuperCon 2025 and picked up some stuff for the stash. The model competition was fantastic, I'll post photos later, but I really go for the vendors. I like the nostalgia kits and they did not disappoint. I also like to spend on the cheap side, those kits @ $10 or less, smashed box is fine with me.

I went looking for the Monogram 1/48 Dauntless or Helldiver. Didn't find any so I settled on these.

Cheap smashed box kits.

I've been reading a book series by WWI aces and wanted to get a few of those birds.

And I had been hoping to pick up a few armor kits. I was looking for Italeri because I built a lot as a kid, but I also found some Tamiya at super cheap prices.

You can see what I got those at (U.S) and several include aftermarket detail sets.
I had a great time.
Gee, how did I know that I should have checked with you first, and that you wouldn't have anything nice to say. Just speaking your mind right? Rude, if you ask me.TBH, if you put that detail set on that M60A2, it will still be a pig. Just with lipstick on … But since you got the set for free with the tank, and there's probably little use for them on the AFV Club M60A2, you might as well use them, I suppose
Much the same for the StuG, really — if I were you, I'd save those Friul tracks and the superstructure for another model that will benefit much more from them.
Yes, the world would be a much better place if only everyone did as I tell them to.Gee, how did I know that I should have checked with you first
I'm just stating the fact that the Tamiya series of M60 kits are the worst M60s around, and the same goes for that StuG — which is simply due to because of their extreme age and them having been surpassed by newer kits (including, for the StuG, Tamiya's own). They were good kits in the 1970s and '80s, but not anymore.and that you wouldn't have anything nice to say
...will be watching, as it may be in my future, as much as I've tried to restrict my North African builds to softskins and light armour.Crusader
