Wow, that is a very old model for sure! It's in such pristine condition for a 1975 kit. I'm not sure I would have the nerve to unseal a kit like that being 50 years old itself...lol.Now I can build a copy of the Abercrombie.
Being a Linberg kit I have some hesitations, I'm sure it'll be a skill builder.

If your result looks better than the box-art, you have an accomplishment on your hands with a Lindberg kit.Being a Linberg kit I have some hesitations, I'm sure it'll be a skill builder.
I found that the Lindberg ship kits are seriously lacking in detail but with a little work you can make them look decent.
Moving this to the right placeIt's coming along, it's not a complicated kit, the devil will be in the detail paint.

Well we only have one major show here in the UK each November.Second-hand, somebody selling a whole bunch at once, going to a show where there's lots of traders (who may give discounts), etc.
There are plenty more model shows and smaller meetings in the UK, aren't there?Well we only have one major show here in the UK each November.
EBay and Vinted work for me.I still don't know how you all buy so many kits at once! We have very few actual shops in the UK to buy from and the kits are top prices!
Not a huge number to be honest. And the prices people ask are often the same as retail shops or more than online. There are plenty more model shows and smaller meetings in the UK, aren't there?
