HI ALL well i bought the tamyia 1/350 enterprise kit an found out there was no HAWKEYE early warnig aircraft in the planes section so i sent off for some from truppeter as i thought i sent for just one aircraft in a kit an very detailed they are so i sent for two planes an to my amazemant there are 6 planes kits in each box so i only need 4 planes so is anybody building a modern carrier on here as i want to sell a box as they cost me 12 pounds for a box but i will be wiling to sell on box of 6 planes for half price an that 6 pound if anybody is interstreted an a pic of them

This order was canceled by the company due to the cost of shipping to the US. I will have to wait to build this one.

Yes it's the same problem we have in the UK, we can't afford to buy kits from both Japan and the USA as the shipping costs are prohibitive. To get a 1/24 scale kit from the USA is over $40!

Looking forward to seeing more on this one, I love GT3 cars but have never built one.

For me, the brown truck delivered this today. Looking forward to the yellow/black markings, remind me of the old VFA 103 logo, the Jolly Rogers. Also hoping Meng does as good on aircraft as they do on armor.

Yes it's the same problem we have in the UK, we can't afford to buy kits from both Japan and the USA as the shipping costs are prohibitive.

The problem in the USA has a different cause, though. Or did that change with the temporary tariffs truce that was agreed the other day?

I just caught up and finished the post-qualifying show for tomorrow's Monaco GP on F1-TV

I have the '71 Monaco Winning Tyrell in 1:12 scale, this was Jackie Stewart's ride.

I'm torn between really wanting to start and a healthy dose of fear upon seeing all that chromed plastic. I know what to do about the chrome, but then my mind wanders to very old kits/molds/designs. So yeah fear is part of it, But I really need to reduce the number of things I want to build that are already waiting in line.

I found this one and ordered it. Should get it sometime in June. I watched a YT video on NuNu models. They look very well engineered. We will see.

I have built this kit, 20 parts and 4 are not used !!! Loads of flash and clear one piece which just doesn't fit.

I suppose I was expecting too much for £10. I will probably buy the Tamiya 1966 version. Pantherman

Yeah, it didn't have heaters, just heat exchanges from the exhaust. I often had to spray the inside of the windshield with de-icer to see where I was going. It usually just started to warm up as I arrived at work 30mins later.......Pantherman

Interesting story, I had the exact opposite experience with the only German car I ever owned.

It was a 2011 335is, great car in almost all ways, but the air conditioner felt like it had been designed by a Norwegian, or maybe an Eskimo. In 105+ degree heat it only incrementally reduced the amount you had to sweat, and finally started feeling cool by the time you arrived. Say what you will about American cars, but the AC in my Raptor will freeze you out regardless of exterior temps.

Oh, and congrats to Lando Morris for his 1st ever Monaco win.

Top several cars usually finish in the order they qualified and this year was no different. It was thought (hoped) that the new 2-stop rule would change things up, and it did provide interest, like the leader pitting right before the last lap, but in the end it did not change up the order much.

Hadjar really shined too!

I don't know about the cost of ownership in Europe, but in Canada, you better hope it never goes into the shop.
I nearly fainted when I found out what a friend had to pay to get a rear passenger window mechanism fixed on his Audi wagon: his son had been slipping coins into the door through the gap with the glass!

I'm … not sure that's a great idea I built this last year, and it's not exactly a great kit. Somebody who builds mainly F1 cars commented, when I posted it on Scalemates, that:—

this probably isn't the kit you want to start your F1 collection with, it's really bad.

The Fujimi one is apparently a good deal better.
