I am a bit intimidated by the Honda RA272. It it definitely pushing my skill level. And I just noticed the 1/20 scale, never seen that before.

Is the 1/20 scale because the 1:1 is already small and would be dinky in 1/24?

I remember going to a CAF airshow in Harlingen Texas in the 90's and they had the only two restored Vampire jets in the world. They did a flying demonstration at the show. I had never seen or heard of one before that. Very cool that you have a kit of one to build!

Not so much to do with what it would end up size wise, TAMIYA generally do almost identical kits in several scales. It's one of the reasons studio models used so many TAMIYA kits all over the place.

What's not to like??? 1/59th scale AND 2 sheets of model parts. I can look at REAL LIFE reference material every day, 'cept Sunday, sometime between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Could not go wrong with this one, so, snagged 'er right up. Well, 40% off really sealed the deal. It was like they was twistin' my arm.
