I will have to make some adjustments to the fenders as i go,
eventually you get to the point where you just have to make it
work.

eh up buddy,i love this build...one day i`ll have a go!
i do like the photo shoot in the kitchen....it`s better lightin and not as messy(i do mean my photo`s)
top job on this!!cheers peza ;D

As always thanks guys much appreciated,
I have gotten a lot done. Getting colder in
NY so less time outside, when I ma out there
now I am raking leaves! ::)

Have to make things work.... and I have
to fix the angle on the opposite side I kind
of messed that up.
002-27.jpg

I wanted to get the bottom in this thing just to
make it more rigid.
003-29.jpg
005-19.jpg
006-16.jpg

Then I started on the fender well bulkheads, I wasn't sure how I
was going to sort this out, but I decided to form another fender
and see if it would help me. I kept trimming it until I had a good
template to get the inside shape. Then I cut it out of some styrene.
It has a few angles I tried to get it to fill as much of the gaps inside.
Have no idea exactly what the original looks like but I made it work
for mine. LOL

I worked a little on the engine
cowling i want to work into it. I am going to just
detail the bottom on the fly, not having the parts
really doesn't bother me.LOL Plus I want to keep
moving along with it.

So I went and pulled two more fenders and fitted
them together, then I cut down their height.
007-17.jpg

Then I dremeled out the insides...
008-11.jpg

Next I tested it to find out if I had the clearance .......NOT
so I had to cut it down more until it would allow the landing
skirts to sit flat all the way around.
002-28.jpg

Here is a pic of the cowling just taped on, and a few other ones.....
027-2.jpg
015-7.jpg
018-12.jpg

Then It was time to finally get this beast to sit flat
so some flat sanding on something flat! LOL
001-30.jpg
004-26.jpg

I took the cowling and used it as a template and cut out
the openings for the engines i will light.
001-31.jpg

Then I made a backing plate and cut two circles out
to house the Saturn V parts I would use a carriers
for the lamps. I made sure to use a size just a little
smaller so they wouldn't slip through.
002-29.jpg
003-30.jpg

This is how it looks on the inside...

This is a cut out I am going to make, recess it and put
some kind of plumbing in there.

Well I didn't have the room i needed in all that
area to do what I wanted. The curvature of the
hull was not allowing me to have an equal amount
of depth in the area where I needed it. Which was about 32mm
so I had to add it back in until I had a space where the depth
could be the same.

A pic of a piece of styrene I spliced back in.

Couple pics of building the recess box...

And some bashing I have more done it now....

Man... I wish I was your neighbor so I could come over and have a few beers with you and convince you to let me paint and weather one of these beauties.

I mean I'd give it back and all, I just wanna paint... ;)
