Went to check out some static aircraft at the Udvar-Hazy center, especially the shuttle Discovery, but thought this was funny....B-17 with parts hanging off the sprues

Great shots of Shoo Shoo.... and yes it does look like a model in progress. When is it expected to be completed?

They've been collecting the pieces of that for a while. Two years ago it was just the fuselage. Saw it again a couple months ago and it looks like they've got all the parts now. They don't tell you when it might go on (complete) display though.

They've also got a B-26 they've had in the restoration hanger for a while.
