I normally work at the dinning room table. Works well for me.
But this spring/summer we've had some remodeling work done, and I had to move.
Moved up to my office, and set up on one side of my desk.
The dinning room is done now, but I am kinda liking the new setup.

My work area is just a simple bench with many drawers and cabinets around the room for all the necessary tools and goodies. The view out the window keeps me mellow and waiting for snow. Next up is a F6F-5P for the nephew of a WW II pilot who flew with VF-7 off the USS Hancock at the end of the war. Boring paint scheme (all dark blue, even the wheel wells!) but a nice gift.

Thanks for all the compliments on my workspace view. It CAN be distracting at times, but offers much peace. My wife actually found this place. As I stated in my "Introductions" post, I live in a mountain community that has an airport and I volunteer as their Airport Manager and ground safety coordinator. We have a nice variety of aircraft here during the summer season - hardly anything right now. We also get visited by the military quite regularly as they like to practice approaches on a runway that's 4432' above sea level. I've included a couple pictures: a better shot from outside on the porch, our aircraft in July, and a C-17 that recently made a low pass and included a photo of our runway from his cockpit. I hope you guys don't mind me sharing. Now, back to the F6F.

The cabin so far!
I laid the laminate flooring last week with help of our youngest son and carried in the desk in four pieces and locked back together. Our electrician can't come until Jan 2026 but that's only a month away, during a couple of weeks we are away on our 58th Wedding Anniversary!

THAT is going to be an awesome modeling cave!! Nice natural light and lots of wall space to display models and gear.

In my ongoing improvements to my hobby room, I decided to tackle the excessive stash by buying two sets of shelves:
One fits neatly under the roof on either side of the door to my modelling room — though I had built the first one (on the right) too tall due to measuring under the roof beam rather than under the roof itself, thinking the beam was lower … After undoing about 512 screws again, I could shorten the legs (they're in two halves) and it did fit.
The stash is the pile of boxes in the second photo, and as much as possible of that will soon be moved onto the shelves
The crates in the last photo mainly hold models that I built long ago, and which I move out of those crates when I need them (the crates, not the models) to take newer models to shows

My humble workspace which needs shelves all over the place. It's amazing. When I first started I said man I need a paint rack. Bought one. Then I bought another one. And then I bought one more.

Nice! Gave up my reel to reel when all the tapes started disintegrating...
And those look a lot like Marsland speakers from the 70s!

Pioneer speaker 3-way horn tweeter, purchased 1968 while deployed to the Med. Never have I had any of the tapes disintegrate. Scott high-end tape, no print through when stored.
The tape deck Revox used to make the masters for vinyl records. Very clean, with no hiss, about 1.5 hr per side, replay @ 7.5 ips.

...lucky man. My dads', and my tapes, both, at around the 30 year mark. Scott, Sony, BASF, Maxell... they'd start shedding vinyl powder that would accumulate around the capstan and in the play/record head, with an ungodly screeching sound.
Well maintained, I.e. I still play LPs from the early 50s! Maybe our houses were too dry in winter? A mystery...but long gone, sigh.

Sorry it took so long to answer. But yes it works great. But if you are using a 5 tip or bigger it really shoots the air out and it kind of swirls and then comes out at the top so I was wearing a respirator but then I took a piece of clear Saran Wrap and put it on the top half of the air booth on the front panel. So that it draws the air in at the bottom. Works pretty good.
