What about filling shelves with unbuilt kits?No wonder it doesn't look right! You have to have the walls and most of the floor covered with tools and bottles of paint!
Seriously envious of all that empty space!
Making it harder for hostiles to see! It's now painted dark grey green!
All the necessities!here's mines
Someone I know did his modelling in the attic, and at one point he painted the whole inside of the roof in German tank camouflageMaking it harder for hostiles to see!![]()
I prefer the L shaped work station too. I'd love to convert the bedroom I'm using to a 100% hobby room but my wife barely tolerates my hobby as it is. I'm thinking in a couple years I may build a small Casita to use as a hobby room. Who knows.Just about ready to start building again. I still need to figure out where to put all my paint and tools.

My wife is also not a fan of my hobby. I'm often asked why don't I spend more time watching tv with her instead of playing with my plastic soldiers.........PanthermanI prefer the L shaped work station too. Ooh, don't go there!
Truth be told I've been out of balance my first year doing this hobby. My wife is also not a fan of my hobby. I'm often asked why don't I spend more time watching tv with her instead of playing with my plastic soldiers.........Pantherman
And you are still married? I don't understand this. I've been married twice, and neither discouraged this hobby. Would she rather you were out boozing with friends, at the racetrack, or some other potentially destructive hobby—like watching TV?My wife is also not a fan of my hobby. That was my reply to my wife. I don't go to the bars after work, not in a bowling league etc. to be fair to my wife I have been out of balance - first year and I've done around 80 models. I just realized this yesterday and thought "Holy **** how did I do so many?" Haha. I am going to slow down, it's not worth a divorce and I do need to start going to the gym.And you are still married? Thanks. I think I have found one that will fit in front of my window with a top vent that I can just drop out. Most impressive!
The last time I looked (quite some time ago), there were a lot of commercial spray booths available, some of which looked well designed. I bought one over twenty years ago, was very disappointed, and wound up spending as much as it cost again to make it what it should have been. If I were to do it again, I'd just build one from sheet metal and angle stock.
And it's Pantherman tidy! I like it, brother.Made a start on my little slice of heaven... still have to sort out the shelves and thinking about a new spray booth as my homemade one is not great at extracting.
Anyway, I will post some more pics when I'm happy with the area. Pantherman
