Just started this model tonight to keep me busy between other works in progress. I must say this model has tons of flashing and will require boat loads of putty, not to mention its raised panel lines. A true test indeed. Sure glad I picked this up for 10 bucks after 50% off.

It's an old kit. Just consider it practice in case you want to get one of Hasegawa's 1/48 Apaches which are well detailed kits, but not the easiest to put together.

Yeah, don't stress over those older kits. If it were me I'd build it out of the box and practice painting and weathering on it.

Not everything needs to be 'masterpiece'. Have fun, learn, experiment.

The Revell-Monogram Ah-64 is a bit of a beast, but it helps build up skills ( i think). The Revell of Germany kit (about $30) is a reboxing of the Hasagawa kit.

Cheers!
