Hello people,

Here are the photos of my first fully completed scale model. I have finished this one almost 2 years ago.I brush painted it and the kit was great. Since it was just a new experience to me, it has some problems but I plan to buy the same kit again and build another one.

I have come across my flick account today, and just wanted to share the photos, I will upload them here as well as soon as I get home:)

this is by far the best I can do:) hope I can manage to get some more skills, especially on weathering:)

Pretty good for your first full build. Keep at it, the more you build the better your modeling skills will get. Just remember not to be your own worst critic.

Good job on the P-47. Have you tried to do a thin black wash...this would accentuate the panel lines really
well. I like the pilot figures you showed. Always like seeing pilots with planes. Congrats. Bill

That's a great first full build trocasan. :)

You'll read it a lot in the forum; the way to get better is to build more, try new techniques, and ask other builders what works for them. Lots of really great talent and experience here at SMA.

So what are you planning to build next?

thank you for the encouragement. :) I am learning a great deal here in SMA forums. I have two p-51 Mustang, one is from Revell, the other is an Italeri. 1/72 again. I guess I'm planning to build them as soon as I have the time.

I was going to try it but I was not sure about the results since I use acrylic paint. But I will be brave and learn more about washes and weathering :)

Thats very nice work for a first handbrushed attempt, i am not joking when i tell you i know of a guy modeling yrs who has not in my opinion as good an eye for the finish and detail, it takes yrs and is an ever evolving art, each person does it slightly diff, achieving effects and what suits you and your taste, try washes, pastel oil and do try to get an airbrush, i just recently got one and its a great addition to good brush ability. Keep up the work and just enjoy, the skills take time and practice, im just learning too ::)
