Dont you worry, no strange people with white frocks involved here. ;)

Just ordered Kellerkinds "Krabbe" combat suit in 1/32 and made a base for it. It consists of several sheets of bark and a piece of wood thats cut aslant. It is covered with white glue, chinchilla sand and haispray to give it a rough structure.

The base so far:

And thats the little fella thats supposed to stand on it:

And here it is. Primed in black, with brown pigments and green airbrushed color and lasercut fern (ModelScene). The sign comes from AetzTech.

I needed a sidekick for the suit: An ICM figure comes with the base. Its a bit older - but can really keep up with modern casts.

The main tones are black and green here for the dio. Im thinking about a kind of pea pattern or Bundeswehr camouflage pattern.

Something like this:

or that:

I tried something similar before on a Melusine (dark grey/grey/white):

What do you think?

Another figure found its way on the diorama. In tihs case, its one of the figures from MiniArts "Hungarian Tank Crew" set (Art.No. 35157) - fits perfect. The head comes from CMK and is a spare head from the Hans Ulrich Rudel figure.

Im not quite sure where I should place this guy - next to the officer on sitting on the tire.

Re: Project KKK (Kellerkinds "Krabbe"), 1/32

Some months ago, I had to give up the "Tarawa" project, and a palm tree was left over - so I repainted it from light brown to fresh green and recycled it:

I vote on the tire as well. Your painting is outstanding, great detail.

Re: Project KKK (Kellerkinds "Krabbe"), 1/32

Thanks Ozz. In fact, those figures are quite easy to paint - their uniform is just black (withought any highlights etc.).

Re: Project KKK (Kellerkinds "Krabbe"), 1/32

Unfortunately, the Krabbe and the Sir Jones bust (ordered them together) seem to be cursed. Right before Easter tha bank didnt accept the payment. Then there was< Easter of course and on Saturday I was told by the shop owner that the parcel went back right where it came from.

WEIRD!!!

So we doublechecked my adress, I put a real big name sticker on my letterbox aaaand... now Im still waiting. But we had a laugh at the phone, cause right now almost everything that can happen DID happen. I hope it will arrive soon, tomorrow or wednesday. Well, I waited so long for it, I dont care about two additional days.

;)

Re: Project KKK (Kellerkinds "Krabbe"), 1/32

Now were getting really serious. :D

The figure is complete, the cockpit painted and I started the figure with a black priming and a part of its camo. Everything fit nicely btw and only a little putty was needed (for the arm connections).

A size comparison with the figures standing/sitting on the vignette:

The cockpit. Adiitional details: a parkometer and a map (ScaleProduction/Verlinden) plus some AirScale scales, tinted with transparent red (not shown).

Primed...

krabbe37_zps5dfad001.jpg

...and then some color. Like the Rolling Stones said: "Paint it black - and add some camo!" :D

krabbe34_zps95fc34e3.jpg

The "spade" emblem" comes from a 1/20 Maschinenkrieger decal sheet btw and was used once before, on a "Melusine" - the one I showed some days ago in its winter camo.

Thats it so far. ;)

Awesome finish, that is a really interesting scene. I love the sloped base you made for this, and the suit looks real nice.

Re: Project KKK (Kellerkinds "Krabbe"), 1/32
