Thank's mate, what are you working on at the mo?

Is there a point when you will call it finished, how much more do you
have envisioned for it? It's an amazingly detailed packed build!

Thanks Jamsterman, loving your Y-wing build buddy, are you going to be kitting it?

Simply amazing

Thanks Q'ster dude.

Wicked! Just wicked! Awesome

Thanks Norm, was watching your Speeder bike Video the other night whilst i was building, how many of those have you made?

I remember when I first saw this thread. I thought, this is an ambitious idea. Absolutely love it, but I wonder how much detail there will be...

Never imagined this would be the level of detail you'd achieve. It's quite simply awe-inspiring.

BTW, my hot tip for next years F1 title....

Jenson Button.

Thanks Iain, I agree with you about Lewis, if Mikey Shoe Maker can't do it, Lewis is good but not that good.

But i will be hoping that Jenson does it this year, no excuses left, number one driver, best car.

Go Jenson

Re: NYLON GAG MK 1?

What can I say, that hasn't been already said?
I don't believe there are any adjectives, or explatives that would appropriately cover my amazement at the UBER-DETAIL!!!!!
I Love it.
Just one question....How long have you been working on this build?
;)

Thank you for the compliment, more explatives please ;D

To answer your question the design process started on October the 7th 2011, i made a small prototype that i only took pictures of on my old phone and i'm not sure of the date but the main build started on October the 23rd 2011 that is when i started cutting out the internal supports for the wings

IMG_9087.jpg

I have spent about $700 so far on tools, general construction materials and greeblie kits, the paints i had some already but i think i will be buying some AK stuff (with my christmas money) and some Alclad II paints before i'm finished and may be some specialist decals. Thinking about it i will also need to build a flight case if i decide to take this thing to some shows and competions, also a new stand &........., but lets finish first and then see what happens.

As you asked so nicely John, and afterall it is Christmas. I haven't put it all together for sometime. I really like how its looking.

Still a long way to go. I'm still unsure of the paint job, i have various ideas but nothing is taking hold at the moment. I think i will wait until the the build is a bit further along to make up my mind. Still have lots of details to finish, including skinning or scribing the whole thing and a complete cockpit to scratchbuild.
