Great idea/inspiration for the dio. I think the Spit looks awesome all on it's own, but the whole dio is looking great. Nice work!

Being ages since i did anything on this but got the chance tonght to try and build a simple tree. As u can see its nothing special but its my 1st ever tree.. Maybe my 1st ever scratch build haha. This is what iv done so far. Hope u enjoy

It's looking wonderful! ;D Would you mind explaining a little bit about how you did the snow, on the ground and on the spit?

Thank you and yes of corse i will. I used a thin coat off plaster over the base just befor it dryed proper i made the footprints and tyre tracks let it dry completely after that i thined out some pva white glue and spread it over the hole base and used woodland sceneics snow to cover everything. Mixing the "snow" with white glue and water gives u the sluchy looking snow that is on the spit and round the car tracks and car tyres. Hope this helps

Well im sad to say this but this is done. I think it looks superb and im acuaully thinking about puting it into the scottish modeling show next month.... Its being a great build had some ups and downs and learnt alot from it. A few firsts for me to. The kits were super and the build was fantastic fun. So were u go folks the final pics of the completed work enjoy!!!

Looks fantastic Drizzling 'snow' over the Spitfire must've been a bit hairy! The end result is marvelous though.

That diorama's excellent........ The snow is really effective as it does look like the real stuff 8)

BTW, what did you use for the snow ?

Thank you and i used woodland scenics snow effect. U get 2 kinds i mixed then to give the effect of diffrent consistency to the snow. Hope that helps
