my next project

This is my next project. Im building it for a guy who sadly lost his wife to cancer. He has this picture hanging in his lounge and its his pride and joy so i thought id built this so he can have a model of it as well. I have the plane just need the right markings and find out what car the pilot is waking away from

Being a busy boy the past few days. Heres were im at

Heres the pilot and the mechanic all finished. These are by far the smallest figures iv done



And the cockpit of the spitfire all painted and weatherd ready to install

Thats the spit all built and painted. Just need 2 add the detail parts, decals and weather this bird.

The green with the bluetac techneque

And with the masking tape removed


Gonna start work on the base once this is done. Looking forward to learning new techniques when doing the snow. If anyone has done snow before please help

Looks great so far, good work on the camo.
Tamiya do a 1/48 staff car called " Tilley " or " tulley" , would be perfect for your dio.

Productive night in... Got the decals on and the underside weathered. Not wanting to much weathering as i just want it to look used.


Finally got my G markings but leaving the number off as i cant see it in the picture so dont know them lol

Hey guys got round to finishing the spitfire what do you think?
Iv put the figure beside it to show you the scale






I must admit i never get bored doing a spitfire. For me its the best looking aircraft of all time absalutly love it
Just got the base and car to do now. Still trying to find the best way to do snow

Hey guys being busy with the ground work just thought id show u what iv don so far. Im waiting on "snow" to come then i can build up the layers and hopefully get this looking a bit more realistic. Also did a bit on the car but theres still loads to do..

Oh wow, footprints in fresh snow, that is a good idea! If I make a suggestion, a 0.2 or 0.5mm ink pen, carefully applied to the eyes of your figures will make them look a bit more authentic. Not that anyone will be looking at that, but coming from a wargaming miniature painter, I find them useful for that and other purposes.

I really like that car, got any close ups?

Thanks cave_dweller ill put some pics of the car up today. It should be finished today at some point. I still have to build a tree or 2 and work on the ground a lot more. Thanks for the pen tip i might just try that. Would it be to the upper eye lid or both?

Just wanted to show u my updated pics of my diorama. Iv being playing around with the snow and got it so it looks a bit more realistic. Still some finishing to do on the groundwork and still to build a tree. But anyway heres what i have so far
