This front decal is tricky... My approach:

Measure measure measure and cut decal appropriately... Next I used decal softener, then while holding the decal with a q tip I punched in to make the holes and recess around the bolts. Next I went through and painted the ares I punched out and the line where the decals I cut.

I think turned out pretty good overall... Had me worried and was time consuming.

Make sure you have matching paint to the decal. Also use micro sol/set liberally.

That worked out pretty well. I think, though, that at this scale I would mask and spray a marking like this, probably in reverse (spray it all white, mask off the teeth, spray black, mask off the whole "mouth" shape and then spray the rest of the model).

Also, interesting to see the kit comes with a "comb device", the little thing on the right side of the transmission housing, in front of the bow gun. It now has me wondering if those were common on Shermans in Korea, though :) Looking at photos, some do show evidence of it, so it's clearly not only on Second World War tanks.

Well this is bs ... Going to write Andy's in meantime I have to find and order tracks for this because the supplied ones do not even come close to fitting .... I am not going to go in there and file back every pad to fit ... Hard to see but if I did that then I would also have gaps in the track to fill... This sucks!!!

This is what looks like if I file way down to fit... That gap is left on each track that I would assemble all the way around so then would have to fill it.

What you were doing wrong there is using two sets of pins on one track block instead of using the pins to connect two track blocks :) The instructions say:

… which I agree could be clearer, but (not having built these myself) I strongly suspect that if you place outer block halves V3 and V4 into the jig, you'll find there's only one place that pins W will fit.

Found this one as well.
Technically, that's 1:15 scale, not 1:16. Verlinden began releasing kits in that scale 30+ years ago, rather than 1:16 that had already been in use for a long time at that point. Of course, the questions are: Can you see the difference? and: Is the weapon accurately sized in the first place?

Anyway, Scalemates lists a couple of M1919s in 1:16, by FC Model Trend and SOL in addition to the Verlinden one. Only FC Model Trend has it with the tripod, though.

Continuing to look good on this one bud. That is one beast of a model when viewed on that table. WOW!!

I've got a few years to go till I retire but I'm not rushing it......believe me.

The real thing consisted of three sections, each 36 inches (91 cm in real-world units) long. In 1:16 that makes each 36 inch × 30.48 cm/inch × ¹⁄₁₆ = 68.5 mm long. Shermans in Korea usually had different antenna bases than on your model, though. The base at the left rear of the turret does appear in some photos, though, so it's not impossible, but if you also want an antenna on the right rear I would advise sticking a second such base there as well.

So an mp37 base is the correct ones to run for Korea?

I have no idea :) What I know is that the one you have on it, with the spring, is an MP-48, but my knowledge about antenna base designations doesn't go much further than that … But photos of Shermans in Korea seem to mainly show a different type, except (I think) tanks early during the war.

Waiting on a few things in the mail to finish this model up, some pigment so on. It is pretty much done but that. I will update with pictures when done. Waiting ... Might move on to stating another 1/16 project.
