I made a mold of the reactor and cast it in resin. This way I can make the parts seem to glow.

Base was made in resin using Hirst Arts mold. Mask mad using Silhouette Cameo cutter.

Looks great.

Game Workshop/Forge World has some really awesome models, and they keep getting better.

So many times I've been tempted to get back into it. I used to play 40K 10 years ago, but from a game play point of view, I just could not deal with the wonky game mechanics and how armies would be invalidated with each codex release. Also the power creep where whatever army has the newest codex seems to be the strongest. Just some really bad game balance issues and rules issues.

blakeh1 thanks for the comments. I don't play the game but I do like the models. There is a lot of variety
in the 40K universe. My son used to play so I started painting the models. Some of the new stuff is really
stunning. The level of detail is great. I liked the Eldar crimson hunter the first time I saw it. It has such a great
profile. Very graceful design. The model fit could use a little work, but otherwise a nice build. Thanks again for the comments.
