HERE, RIG THIS

Is that the Amerigo Vespucci training ship with solar panel type 'sails'? How many masts is she carrying?

It looks like something out of Greek mythology ,
a punishment for disobedient sailors .
eternal sail management from hell
My understanding of sail management, (albeit at 30m yacht scale and hypothetical knowledge of traditional sailing ships gained from technical literature) is that the rigging would be too complex to handle with that amount of sail and pole and limited deck space; therefore I think it it is most likely to be something like computer controlled with minimal 'hands on' usage. available. Probably wrong though!!

doubt the gods would allow them to use computer controls , but I'm rusty on my mythology

I think this model is a fiction if that purports to be the Amerigo Vespucci as per the supplied model reference: according to all my book references I own and other references consulted she is a four-masted square rigged ship carrying only 26 sails - so ..... I have no idea what this model represents (if at all?). The hull aligns with contemporary photos but the rigging appears to be little more than a fantasy! I am more than interested to know the reality of this!

From that article I linked ,

" 4 meters high and 6 meters long. It is intended to be the largest ship model made by Voiliers de l'Océan. It is a replica of the Italian sail training ship Amerigo Vespucci. However, the model has 400 sails to represent the number of employees working for the person who placed the order. It cost Rs 1.2 million. "

Aah, that would explain it! Thanks for that!
