Hello from NC, been lurking for months, finally got around to registering.
I have been modeling off and on for the majority of my life.
I started out doing cars in the early 70s (yes i'm that old), graduated to various ships during my navy years (early 80s), then got on a nascar kick that lasted till about Y2K. After almost a decade of idleness I walked into the nearest (20 miles away) Hobby shop and plopped down $50 for a dragon Pz.Kpfw.IV, my first armor model and it had 770 pieces to boot!!
Now I have a stash of a jeep, two more tanks, a helicopter and two WW2 planes on the way.
It was like hooking up with an old friend.
I didn't realize how much I needed the tranquility of modeling till I started back up.
