I just found this forum and quickly joined. I live just west of Indianapolis and have been a long-time off and on modeler. I'm heavily involved with model rocketry, the flying kind. Some of those are scale models. I've built 2 small wooden boats and have a crabbing skiff half done. Last, but not least, I've dove headfirst into paper/cardstock modelling. I am almost done with a 1/48th paper Piper Pa-12 Super Cruiser in Chile Air Force colors. I've acquired several ships, planes and architecture paper models.

I haven't totally moved away from plastic models, but it's been a long time since I built one. I have kits of the USS Haven Hospital Ship and the PT-109 patrol boat.

I'm looking forward to being part of this forum.

Welcome aboard. I was into model rocketing when I was younger myself so I find it interesting!

YES so was i into model rockets the esstes kind with the c65 engines an eletric ingnition had a lot of fun with them then they put up the price of the 3 pack of engines as i went an built a bigger rocket with a bundel of 5 c65 engingines in it on launch it only got off the ground 20 ft an fell back to earth an on closer inspecktion i found that only 3 engingines had fired as the fuse wire became untangled so them other engines dint fire but had loads of fun with the normal rockects seein on how high they went an when the ejection charge blew out the parachutes trouble is they floated on the wind to far or caught up in a tree top but oh what fun it was to espensive now

Welcome to the Herd, JCurtis! That's a nice collection of models, and rockets. I really like your Little Boy, nice detailing!

I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Best regards,
Brad
