Quick light test as the LED's arrived this morning. I need to diffuse the hell out of them lol. But still fun!

Lol thanks guys, I do need to revist those lights but first I needed a stand for this, not only for displaying it but also to keep it strong and rigid and handy to hold while painting. There's nothing pretty or clever here but it works really well. A simple floating shelf wall bracket was used. I will go back in and fill the gun area and maybe add the window frame canopy, which will be the old AMT Vader Tie fighter canopy....if it fits!

I bet he was... and I'm sure his wife was passing by the doorway and caught him in the act and just stood there shaking her head wondering what she married! LOL

Nice support! It's looking more and more like the studio version!!

BTW - I caved and ended up getting one of these beasts :P

Lol
Ok so some more work on the lights, and using a simple plastic milk bottle I can diffuse the lights perfectly:

And I've managed this whole build not injuring myself and today the knife slipped. Be warned this kit WILL harm you lol:

Whoa doggy! It's not a real build if it doesn't make you bleed. Good to know it's red and not some superhuman green or blue :P

Ouch!!!

I have been warned about Vinyl kits that they have the same need for blood. I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Nice work on the engines.

The blood sacrifice has been made.
Hopefully it didn't hurt too much.

Ship's coming along well

Didn't any one tell you to watch out when you're playing with sharp objects? ;)

The Falcon looks really great and that's a great trick with the engigne lights :)

Perhaps the Gods will be pleased and grant you a win in your category! Otherwise you may have to sacrifice the cat to appease them! LOL

Cheers for lookin in guys, hands fine thanks J. I've been busy the last few days (but still mangaged to squeeze in a model show on Saturday ;) ) but I should be back at work on this this week!

Not a huge update guys but a milestone never the less, these side Walls have been kinda tricky to sit flush with my cutting but with some chopping and sanding of the resin parts I seem to be winning. Here they are dry fitted:
