German Sturmgeschutz IV

It finally snowed! It's not great but it's my first lol.
Just waiting for the figures to arrive to be finished.
I might sprinkle a little snow of Scar Face.

Gary, it's looking fantastic. At least scar face will have a few mate's to play snowballs with. Seriously though, it's a great build.

I'm the same. I enjoy doing the figures as a fill in build or if I just want a break from the current build.

Have started to put aside a selection of ready to go crew. New sets and finished ones.

That's a great idea. Thanks. I might start doing that too.
As a matter of fact Amazon dropped this off yesterday.

I bought that kit for my daughter to practise painting on. I made it and primed it. She called him Otto !!

I think it looks great and to me I don't see any issues with the weathering. We are always our own worst critics
Thank you, Blake.
It's good we have this site to reel us back in form our critical thinking. But feed back is nice to hear to learn from.

The grout worked great! Thanks for the tip. Now I have a lifetime supply lol

Keep it in an airtight jar or you will get big snowballs next time you use it. I have a slight advantage by working in construction that I can "borrow " a little bit when I need it!!

It works great (thumbs up). Even on very small decals.
I did a test on a small decal, it did slip through the slats but still easy to retrieve.
I recommend it.
Hi Gary, just used the decal tray for the first time, I like it. I am particularly impressed with the ability to slightly raise the tray by pulling the front forward. It lifts the decals without dispersing them into the water.

Yes, it's a cool tool. Even very small decals are easy to get.
Your build on the bench is really nice looking!

Thanks, it's for a friend but taking longer than it should have. Almost finished it, just the canopy to paint and fit then a nice shiny gloss coat.

It is really shiny.
With the decal tray — do you have any idea what this part is for? My guess is to "scoop" the decals on.
Or it might be a mustache comb.

It's going to be really shiny I hope, the RAF ground crew (the blues, all 85 of them) kept their aircraft sparkling.

I didn't find a need to use my mustache comb, I prefer my pinpoint tweezers !!

Weren't there any spare road wheels in the kit? Not trying to be a smart-aleck-I'm thinking of the pair of spares that were carried in a rack on the hull.
Yes. There were spares and I almost used one. Then I decided to email Tamiya. They've been really good to me and sending replacement parts.
