Hey Guys,
I haven't been here for some time... Been busy with work and other forums that I belong to... I had finished up a conversion that I did on a 1/18 scale Focke-Wulf 190D-9 from 21st Century Models. It was basically a "Pre-Built" toy that I thought I could improve upon with some super detailing and paint and make a respectable display model that no longer looked like a "toy"... I completely disassembled and rebuilt the model, getting rid of the "working" landing gear and other cheesy items... Thought I would share some pics here with you guys...

The paints used were a variety of Tamiya Acrylics and Testors Model Master Acrylics with a smidgen of Polly S thrown in...

Lot's of scratchbuilt stuff went into the cockpit and landing gear bays...

Decals were custom made from Red Pegasus Decals

I plan to enter this years "Modelzona" contest in November here in Arizona... We'll see how she does...

Hope you enjoy the pics...

So you can see how big the model is compared to a bottle of 1/3rd oz. of Tamiya paint...

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

I'll try to get around to this site more often...

:)

I didn't realize that there were other conversions out there?! Any links to them? Also, if you would like, I could probably post a build of this as I have all of the pics archived from the build... Thanks for the kind words! :)

Brilliant bit of reworking  It looks first class buddy !, nice attention to detail .

Chris.
