Fail to prepare...prepare to fail

Cool videos. Love the brick. Looking forward to seeing more of that.

Nice cat!

I did some more detailing on the M8 last night, but we had a BBQ and I'd been drinking so I kept it to a minimum. Before the BBQ however I got a fair bit on the model and filmed it all.

Should be another video coming soon. This time on doing some more thorough detailing rather than just "hinting".

Man... I got a fire lit in my belly at the moment (and no, it's not the result of badly bbq'd food!) that's making me model like a crazed animal. The passion is returning!

Stoke that Fire !! Great vid on the detailing !! Lookin' Good !!! WoW ! Vallejo has Dunkel Primer out now .. I gotta look into that !!

i was pondering on your Tread title... and realized I followed in your steps....

After painting some road wheels .... I forgot to MASK or cover them while spraying some Primer .... and yes.... Preparation and planing the execution.... is a must !!! I FAILED ! cuz I Failed to prepare...

SO !!! True !

Lesson learned ! I hope ?

Keep up the good work !!!

Norm. oh Great Vid... of course ! loved the wired de Kinking tip ! very useful !!!

that's the spark that you've been waiting for... the idea just pops up

btw excellent work on covering gaps with a straw!

Truly Inspirational, Thanks for the straw tip. It always amazes me the way you guys come up with ingenius ways of using what we have lying around the house.

Many Thanks

thanks guys I appreciate it

today I've done a little more on the turret, which was of course filmed for the glue/styrene cement video. It is a beginners video so I wouldn't get excited.

Still got MASSES to do :( if I achieve completion on time I will be Very, VERY happy with myself!

Hey guys

I see so many threads and want to chip in on all of them!! but I am too busy... I have set big targets. This weekend I woke up early both days to do some face painting.

The one on the left is the first face I've painted since the contest last year, they are faces number 6 and 7 in my modelling career. I don't enjoy painting figures, in particular faces, but I woke up in the mood so painted them up.

I have also done a load of work to the M8. Sadly you can work on something like this for a couple of hours and see no improvement... the detail just soaks up work! As it stands I am not far from finishing this particular piece of the puzzle.

There is still a little to be done on the interior, a bit of wiring in the turret. I am not sure I'm going to be able to put any figures inside, which is a pain because earlier I only removed the pin marks on the radio operator side thinking there would be a driver in the other seat.... now that decision has come back to bite me on the butt but I had a lot of ground to make up.

Hard to figure out whether I'm gonna be able to finish.... I'm on schedule so far, but so much remains.

thanks for checking this out

TO THE BENCH!
