Nice work so far mate!

I liked the work on cockpit. Maybe you can do some dry brushing on seat not sure your call man it is good as it is also:)

Preshade it already! ;D

Thanks Cash.
too late for the dry brushing on the seat now, she's all closed up. Busy day tomorrow, not sure if ill find time to sling some paint. But I'm getting very anxious to get some colour on !

More paint? ;D

Just kidding, I'm not rushing you. Looks good all primed up. It'll look sharp with the desert tans and light browns.

Ok found some time for paint today.

Preshading, the AB was playing up a bit so had to strip it down before I used colour.

Yip ....what he said ;D ..Nice . Great work there Rookie ;)

Chris.

Thanks fellas. Any tips on laying down the camo ? Gonna have a crack at doing it freehand, I was thinking I'd paint the sand colour over the whole thing then the other 2 colours over the top..... Any thoughts ?

Sand with the other colours over top sounds good to me. I've read that some guys out line the boundaries of the camo very lightly in pencil over the base colour. Looking forward to you're next update.

really nice job! Looking forward to seeing that Israeli camo scheme on it :)
Some use thin rolls of blutak to mask those sort of schemes but I've never had success with that approach. By the look of your pre-shading I think you'll do a great job of freehanding it.

Thanks billb, I'll let you be the judge ;)

Here is a step by step of the painting. I used Vallejo model air and gotta say I'm a fan. Drys real smooth and the dropper bottles are easy to use & wastage is minimal ( yes I'm lookin at you Tamiya ! ) ;D

I'm reasonably happy with my first attempt at a freehand cam scheme. Not so happy with the shade of blue.... Doesn't quite look right to me, I would have preferred a little more green to it...what do you guys think ??

I still plan on doing a some post shading in the browns to give a sun bleached effect and I may re do the blue.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Thanks for looking :)

Man that looks sharp! Excellent work free-handing the camo scheme.

Looking good to me :) ...fading the colours a bit will add a lot to the depth ,just go lightly tho and thin your paint down well ;)

Chris.
