near final assembly all i have left is to put the control switches on, the bottom blaster and the canvas bag on the back and speeder is ready for a coat of future then a weathering job and then its off to paint the black on the trooper and touch him up and mount this puppy on a base and i am done pecan. end of june is a comeing fast
A coat of maybe satin and a minor touch up and the speeder bike is finished.I used watercolors for the weathering gray, black and some earthy colors. i have to work on finishing the trooper sand do something with the base.
Can you make a satin clear coat with future and tamyia flat base?
I do work for a construction materials testing lab maybe illl raid their buckets of dried soils and rocks and agregrates. for the base
Nearing completion!!!. I am at the point i feel if i keep messing around with it and nit pick the fine details i am going to wind up destroying all that i have accomplished... So i might walk away and call it finished. I think i my try to make a tree stump and get some moss and ground cover for the base.. but i bput it on my shelf any way... i need to dust!
Speeder bike DONE!
Life has not let me finish the base and the first is so close. I am going to turn my sights on the rest of my kit stash. Maybe that 1/32 Haswage F-16 C with photoetch..i tries 1/72 armor to small for my taste to many lost parts. damn you carpet monster!!!
Before i accept the award for last place! i want to thank the academy! and all the little tiny parts that have been eaten by the carpetmonster and the Oreck.. Oreck XL you suck! Wooo!!! .
thanks,for all the kind words
I got to the point if I fussed with to much more i am going to wind up destroying it. So I said to myself. "Self... STOP now walk away go play XBOX ,get outside ,don't touch it no more". Then myself replied. "You're not the boss of me", "But you are right".
and that is 10 seconds in the mind of a derangedwookiee...
DW,
it looks great!
I know what you mean about knowing when to stop working/fusing with a build. Now that I have been painting IRON CLAD, I am kinda regretting all the details I added. Makes more trouble to paint them, and around them.
So, are you going to stain the base?
