Deep Space Nine decal/painted on

There's a video on youtube about how to paint on details on decal film and apply it to your model. They used the Deep Space Nine model kit to demonstrate. I can't seem to find it. Please help?

I have seen that video, but don't remember who posted it. They basically just sprayed paint on the decal film, then cut to size and applied. I just remembered the name, here you go:

If you're trying to match paint color like it's a good way to go because you can use the same paint.

I had seen something like that in a magazine.... But to replicate peeling paint!

although they mention white and black to darken and lighten the base colour, try using other colours - ie yellows and greys - especially if your after a faded look to some colours.

Love the idea, might be better than masking aztec patterns on the enterprises ....
