Cast iron color

so ive got my Ammo lift almost complete for my 88 Flak tower dio and im wondering what you guys would be a good color to paint cast iron color. i was thinking gunmetal but i recon that might be too shiny.

so ild like to hear what you guys would sudjest

I'd say use the gunmetal, then tone it down with either a coat of flat or semigloss

Could also go with a wash. Some heavily thinned black should do the job if no black wash is available.
