Canopy detail help

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma because the instructions don't tell you how to do this part. In the picture the Sharpie is pointing to decal 59 which is the DET cord for the canopy. Also right below that is the PE for the DET cord that I think looks pretty neat but which canopy to apply it on? I was thinking the canopy that is etched would look kind of neat with that 3D PE but I'd like to have some opinions on what would look better before I screw up my canopy

My humble opinion would be to put the PE DET cord on the etched canopy.

I don't see how either can be successfully applied to clear plastic. Maybe the decal but you will see the decal film outline. The 3D if PE would need a decently strong adhesive, but CA would ruin clear canopy and white glue would likely not hold it on and would be a complete mess to try and use for that on the clear curves. Is it actual PE or 3-D decal? Not sure that matters because I also read probably here that u should never rely on just the decal film adhering 3D decals, that u should always back it up with CA. Canopies and PE are the bane of my modeling experiences thus far.

You're exactly right. I tried putting the decal on and that turned out to be a lost cause almost immediately. And the 3D decal broke multiple times. And the instructions did say it's very prone to that and I tried to be as careful as I could but I gave up.
