Ok so I always thought I knew how to apply a wash. I generally use Flory clay based washes which is apply and wipe off, or I make my own using oils. Very thin. I just bought a couple of Ammo enamel washes, dark wash and dark brown wash, to try and when I applied them with a brush to scrap pieces, it goes on really thick, pretty much a layer of paint. It turned my tan pieces almost black. Definitely not the effect I was expecting. What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to let it dry and wipe it off? Is that possible with an enamel? Do I need to thin this product even more? I assumed it was ready out of the bottle.
