Just trying to get to grips with posting photos of my entry.

That's just the box art! Not my finished model obviously! My finished model will be much worse, with bits of stuff missing and dog hair and kid slobber all over it. And it will somehow fall out of it's shelf the second I declare it finished and break into a million bits. Be vigilant and scan ebay for dave's broken model bits. They will be worth nothing for a long time and then nothing else will happen. Sorry I've been typing again.
Nighty night.

Lol, great model. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Re: Bulkystapler BSC entry- Industria Mechamika-Goblin

Great post. This has potential.

Re: Bulkystapler BSC entry- Industria Mechamika-Goblin

oooo I'm looking forward to this build :)

Re: Bulkystapler BSC entry- Industria Mechamika-Goblin

Definitely following this one! I've had my eye on several of the IM kits for a while; they make some really cool stuff!!

Here's an update.
Thank you for all the replies! Basically I'll try and keep the updates coming and try to cover the whole build if you like.
Just some words first. The model was $125USD and then freight after a long preorder wait. I'm super impatient when waiting for parcels to arrive! Basically the kit was double boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap and those white foam noodle things that stick to hairy things and balloons.
Here's a photo; IMG_0103_zps7e8zhfrl.jpg
Shows like a watercolour paining of the character and on the reverse side is the destructions.

Not sure if there are limitations to the amount of photos to include in one post so tell me if I am pushing my luck!
Here are the bits pre-cleanup.

And here is the Mushroom (should be toadstool hey?)

It's worth noting that they quote the scale as 1:1. That doesn't really figure right to me. Looks too small. Also note that there are a few differences between the box art and the actual model shape.

I've had a look and can't see why these arnt loading? I've copy and pasted the URL and it's not even showing up on photo bucket....strange.

Dear Johnsimmons,
Thankyou for investigating. I am not sure what I have done wrong. I hope I haven't broken the internet because I need it to get it to get muffin recipes and porn. And other things I can't mention. Well I can mention them but then I might get tagged as being silly.

I think that happend after the "..muffin and porn.. " lol
But seriusly it worked for me when I opened the photos in another window. That's one great kit. Can't wait to see it getting done :)

First off, Awesome entry David!! This one has that "cool factor" for sure! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!!

It looks like there is a couple differences in the code associated with the first picture you posted and the series of pics you tried to post last.

This is the code for you first post:

Code:
[ATTACH=full]71618[/ATTACH]

This is just one of the codes for the last posting you tried to upload:

Code:
[IMG]http://s296.photobucket.com/user/bulkystapler/media/IMG_0103_zps7e8zhfrl.jpg.html[/IMG]

If you notice, there is an "i" in part of the code just after he http.// in the first picture where there is the letter "s" in the second....also, the first picture does not have the "html" extension at the end. What does this mean...pretty sure you clicked the 'Email & IM" direct code from Photobucket and not the "Direct" link.

I am guessing you might have moved the picture from one album to another...or removed it and tried to upload it again? This is what happens when I correct the code and use the image icon to post your link...

IMG_0103_zps7e8zhfrl.jpg

I would say try again, but just be sure you click the "direct" link if you are going to use the image icon from the editor...or you can use the "IMG" link at the bottom on PB and just paste direct into the editing box.

Good luck!! ;)

Ooo, nice! I saw this after watching a Tested video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBHQ7lQGOf0) on this kit: http://industriamechanika.com/shop/derek-stenning/47-derek-stenning-s-dystopic.html

They look like amazing castings ( I hope so considering the prices! )

Looking forward to your updates.

I sent that video to Michael when Tested posted it (I'm a Tested member, because, well, it's awesome, and I'm a technologist, so it kinda is a job requirement). Adam did a great job building up that kit. Also, yes, I have not seen better resin casts than the Industria Mechanika castings. Very little clean up is required, the details are always sharp and everything goes together really nicely. My Remora probably wasn't as clean as the first edition of 150 castings but I think he's since replaced the moulds with new ones. Can't go wrong with getting a kit from his shop.

Seems like I've "corrected" the photo links. Not sure what I did wrong!
Thanks for your help guys!

More updates to come soon!

A comment on the quality of the castings, the fit is very good. Best I have come across with any resin kit. When you have a really good close up look though it appears that the master may have been 3D printed as there are very fine lines that indicate built up layers. I'll try and get a photo of them. Just need to find the Macro lens.

Cheers,

David

Here is the head of the Goblin, Notice the gates coming off the ears.

Looks very fragile near the tips. Bet ya I break the ear tips off, despite using my sharp Xuron cutters.
IMG_0108_zpsjkehzdy0.jpg
Yep. Managed to glue them back on though.
This next photo might give you a sense of it's size. About 20 cm tall.

The box mentions included wire in the kit (probably for fixing the chainmail) but I didn't seem to get any. Not to worry though. I want to corrode the chainmail and or at least tarnish it. That'll require a bit of experimentation.

Cheers,

David
