Hi everyone.

A few weeks ago, I decided to build a 6 mm farm with different buildings. I started by building the grain elevators.

I used medecine bottles on which I glued a wooden dome bought at a dollar store. Once it was done, I applied a coat of Woodland Scenics foam putty on the cylinder. I then sanded it and carved the putty to make it look like the grain elevator is covered by tiles.

Then, I applied a layer of black primer. After, I followed by at least four or five layers of paint, from the darkest to the lightest, by using a sponge.

For the dome, I painted the red and white bands by sight only. After it was finished, I applied, with a sponge, some dark grey paint, light grey paint and burnt umber paint for the rust.

That's it.

What do you think?

Now I need to build my first barn.
