With respect to metallic paint, I rolled the dice on Alclad metallic lacquers a year ago (having never used them before). I applied them to an ancient F100 kit I rehabilitated from the 1970s. Alclad recommends laying down their gloss black primer first. I'm not sure that's necessary or if it is just their means of selling more paint, lol But I did as they recommended and was very pleased with the results! So much so, I have some aircraft kits in the stash I'm looking forward to doing in all-metal and Alclad will be the choice for me.

If that bench could talk... oh the stories it would tell. Now THAT's a well worn workspace. Looks like modern art, in and of itself!

I love that plane, pictures I took were at the Air Force Museum in Dayton.
WOW you are so lucky to have such marverlous planes like this B58 an the XB70 an the space shuttle as in england we have nothing like them an this country is boreing i find only place i can get to see some decent american planes like the blackbird or others is at duxford air museum but i got to see all the B planes at a airshow at RAF COLTISHALL in the early 70's but i see a hustler there brilliant it was but could not afford a camera back in those days
