Any concern about heat, from the electronics?
HI Edbert well its only a 12v eletrical system an ive been wirein up my planes an ships for yrs an never had any problems as resistors in the leds wirein circut keeps the power low an these lights in the planes are either worked from a 12v batt or how ive got the planes set up at the moment they are workin an takin power from a mains powerd 12v adaptor an they all work tickecy boo
ATB SIR
CHRISB

G/M ALL well time for 10 more pics of this tomcat build an here ive just pluged in the nose eletric plug to the main fusealarge plug to take power to the nose lights

Now to slide the nose section into the main fusealarge an glue but had trouble on the top of the fusealarge as when the nose section slid in there was still a 2mm gap that had to be filled an its like this on all these kits as ive seen my freind build one an he had the same problem but easy fix with a bit of 2mm thick plasticard glued an slid into the slot an then sanded down an here on the under side the bottom panel was not a great fit but pulled it down an glued it to a nice smooth fit

HI Litlemarten no power source is not through the wheels but just a simple MALE micro mini eletric plug FROM THE POWER SOURCE thats JUST PLUGS INTO the female sockect is fitted flush in the lower back fusealarge that just plugs into it so very easy to do hows that sir i know its tiny but if you look at the rear of the plane right near the big N for NAVY DECAL AT THE BOTTOM you can see the mini female eletric plug socket

Any concern about heat, from the electronics?
HI Edbert sorry to take so long to answer your qeustion but no no problems about heat from the eletronincs as the plane is only lit up for 15 mins at a time as she is on a timer 15mins on then 30 mins off to allow anything to cool off before the timer switches the lights back on as never had any probs with any of my models
THANKS for your qeustion sir
chrisb

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIT THE 2MM LED
I think this is the hardest part right? Getting an LED (2 actually) into the top of the vertical stabs, there's usually zero room inside of those, maybe 1/32 is better but not much. Do you have to use a dremel as a router to cut a channel?

HI Edbert yes i do use a dremel an a router fitted in an quite easy to do all thats reqired is to make sure that the plastic does not get hot an melt so a little at a time an yes 1/32 scale are best but ive made several 1/48th scale planes lit up to an even some 1/144 scale tomcats an super hornets light up on my big USS NIMITZ its just a matter of piatiene an not hurry doin it an two 1/144 scale hawkeyes an they had tiny motors in the engines to turn the props an lights in them an they looked an worked brilliantly an here are some 1/144 scale planes lit up an enginges goin on my big carrier so size dont really matter unless its a miniture plane then it does
