Anyone know if the Hobby Boss B-24 (1/48) is a good kit?

Reason I'm asking is that kit quality cannot be determined just by manaufacturer. I have built a decent/nice Hobby Boss kit before, but also have buyer's regret for an HKM B-17 (1/48) and they are generally considered to be a good maker.

The real reason I'm asking is, this is wanting to break-in to my stash...

I can't help but it's a cool looking build. If I had room I definitely would build a bomber.

My thought for a 1/48 4-engined plane is a ceiling-hangar, few shelves/cabinets will hold them.

Are they going to be for sale there, at a significant discount? Because I suspect they can ship cheaper than you can and I would not have to put another SMA member out. Do not mistake me, that is a seriously a nice offer! I've been bit a little by pre-ordering a kit recently, unless it is Kotare I think I'll wait to see what other builders have to say before pulling the trigger.

I went to the show, they had 100ish there at $99.99 each. Appeared to be selling like hotcakes.

They said they were not taking "all" they had available for selling at the Nats, but whatever was left would be offered based on when we signed up for the waiting list. No idea where I am on that list but I registered on day one.

As I mentioned, I'm leery now of any pre-order. I want to wait and see what builders say (unless it is Kotare), and this is not a new kit, just a new boxing with custom declas and some aftermarket resin/PE thrown in.
