Hey! My first tank, completed this fall.

The Tamiya Carro Armato M13/40
As mentioned elsewhere, I've mostly been working on the WW2 softskin vehicles seen in North Africa.
I have built some tracked vehicles, but this was my first full on TANK. (full disclaimer: as part of my Italian craze, I started with a tiny tankette that defies imagination and would not be out of place in the center ring!)

Pretty happy with how it turned out, though all you Armour veterans will see my newbie gaffes!
I've been learning how to work with drybrush, and it is quite satisfying when you don't use an airbrush...

... Also learning the fine art of weathering... some guys make it look so easy! as in easy does it, don't overdo it

Ha! Chains are fun: finding a link size that looks plausible, researching photos for any indication of how it may have been stowed, opening links and losing them somewhere in the void, figuring out just the right length so that they hang properly.
In this case I had no hooks in my stash that fit the bill, so I carved one out of an appropriate bump on a sprue.

I needed a win after realizing I'd somehow installed the track and there were was one link left over!
Oh well, another mystery of the bench never to be solved...

Cheers

@locomotive , glad to see you liked some of my builds. Thanks for the encouragement... I got active on the forum in December, and posted several years worth of 'pre-retirement builds' over the course of a few weeks. Carro being the latest effort at that point.

You're welcome. Your builds are excellent. You've obviously got far more patience than I have!
