Well, here's something different. I am not sure he belongs here, but I thought I'd share anyway because I did enter him in the All Open category.
Cast your mind back to the late 1970s. Mattel had released a toy line that they called The Shogun Warriors.
Jim Terry had released english versions of some Japanese animation that he called the Shogun warriors.
And then Monogram had re-released some Bandai kits from the super robot genre.
I had all of the kits back then, but now they are all in pieces.
A few years ago, I bought this Gaiking kit on Ebay. I built him, puttied, sanded, and then painted using mostly Rustoleum, Krylon, and some Duplicolor spray paints.
Then I did some detail painting with acrylics, enamels and a brush or two.

Awesome! I had a little 3 inch action figure of that guy when I was a kid ;D Looks good!

I still have that three inch figure and the 6 inch and the 24 inch.....

Nice work!

If you have ever seen the Monogram box for this model you know how awful the colors they used were. I went with the color scheme from the anime'. :)
I have also got a Great Mazinger, and Getter Dragon. :)

I have seen them and stayed away from buying on because they looked off to me. But you did a great job on this one. The colors match what I have on the shelf!
