Nice work, Chuck! I like your stippling technique, I use a similar method, too. I picked it up before I ever started working with an airbrush, kind of a modified way of filtering.
I'm looking forward to seeing your finish on the pilot. I don't think I've ever seen a painted figure of yours, just the girls
It's Memorial Day and the girls are attending services for the fallen, so my dog Andi is keeping an eye on Pfennig as we build our little Kubel. Read on!
You've got a better eye than I, Chuck, I couldn't tell that that jerry can was out of proportion. That was an interesting problem and an interesting solution. If I may offer a suggestion, I'd paint at least one of the cans as a water can, marked with a white cross, if you haven't already planned that.
Thanks, Baron! If you eyeball that photo you'll see that the cans don't quite reach the floor- I'm guessing BD's excellent sculptor didn't add the drive train hump when doing his thing. This leads to the whole unit sitting too high and it's quite obvious when you try to fit the piece. The part was that I had some fun fabricating that little box. Oh, I'll have a water can or two, somewhere on the vehicle. I'll be using the Eduard racks with Tamiya cans on the flanks and fender- some fun bending and soldering ahead!
