So I have tried a few clear gloss and matte coat products. Did not like Vallejos acrylic or polyurethane. I tossed it along with about 10 bottles of their paint after way too many air brush issues with it, and chalky colors.
I do like Mr Hobby clear top coat for gloss and their matte also, both in spray cans. Also bought AK gloss, satin, and matte acrylic clear coats for airbrushing but I gave yet to use them. Today I tried AK's Gauzy Intermediate Agent as gloss coat over lacguer before doing decals. Looks good, self leveling, no drips or puddles like I had with Vallejo clear coat products.

Questions:
What is Intermeduate Gauzy Agent? It says for "enhancing shine". No chemical information given on bottle. is it acrylic?

Is it same as a gloss clear coat.

If so, why does AK have both oroducts and how are they different?

Is Gauzy glass coat different still?

Gauzy intermediate air brushes great from what I experienced, but it bothers me that I do not really know what it is, so I don't know how it may affect paint, decals, weathering. and .

No replies yet but I was impatient and started applying decals over the gauzy agent today and I am worried. Where the micro sol and micro set runs it seems to be leaving signs, kind of messing with what was a pretty decent paint job. This is over the gauzy coat, pretty thick, over AK interactive lacquer colors over Tamiya spray primer. Hoping the micro stuff dissapears after drying overnight, but not looking good.

I wasn't going to weather it but guess I will add a wash just to try and make the mess look more intentional. The reason I don't post many photos is my iPhone takes too large of files and it is a three stage process to reduce the file size using my phone.
