I want to add led/fiberoptic lighting to my models. Is adding lighting as easy as they make it look in those tutorial videos for a novice? Or is this a case of experienced people who make it look easy? I've never used soldering iron before. How big of a learning curve is there on this?

I tried it for the first time on a sub and it's fairly easy but you really need to think ahead of where the wiring goes and what you want to light. Also bear in mind the power source.

I had loads of great help from other members much more experienced than I. Pantherman

That sounds like a simple, but very solid piece of advice

Where is the battery for the place? Below tarmac??
HI GCB no there is no batt here as the lights are running from a small transformer on 12v from the mains but the plane can be run from a 12v battery if i wanted IT TOO

Do you have any suggestions where to purchase the fiber optic materials?
