This is (was) my Xmas build as I haven't made a tank in a long while.

Anyway, thought I would just take a look at the instructions when that new kit smell lured me in.

Lot's of stuff to remove and Lot's of flash, this is going to be fun

It's just not my fault that some parts may have fell together... Pantherman

Carve out? So you're making recessed welds, like Tamiya used to do? Real ones tend to be above the surface, like the ones on the front of the turret roof.
I'm thinking of a small recess to fill with clay which should then show the weld line above the flat of the turret, similar to the front one's. Pantherman

So a few more bits done. Painted out the interior and fitted all the bits with the kit that will never be seen.

Got a groove started on the turret ready for my scribing kit to arrive, just need to slightly square up the groove ready for the putty.

Also started on the wheels, I had forgotten how much work is involved with these but looking forward to hours of fun getting them ready for spraying. Pantherman

clay ain't melting polystyrene .

I like using sub-mm styrene rod ,, or half-round or quarter-round .
dip it in acetone to soften it , put it into place , use a tiny chisel point or toothpick to form the weld bead detail

I didn't think it would melt it either but the idea of using clay just doesn't compute. I like that man using styrene rod that's a good idea no that's a great idea. A lot better than rolling out a thin line of epoxy putty

I like the idea of using small glasses like that to organize the road wheels.

I've used strips of bare metal foil for metal clamps on my auto builds. I'm guessing that would work for these ducts?

That scheme looks like a good one to go with btw. I've always wanted to pull off a winter camo scheme.
