A Reliant Bash--ISS Amazon--Finished 7/7

Re: A Reliant Bash--ISS Amazon--WIP 03/23

Thank you for telling me that. I didn't know you couldn't print white, but it does make sense when you think about it.

Re: A Reliant Bash--ISS Amazon--WIP 03/23

After a LONG delay, and having to scrap my aztec decal plans due to issues with my technique, she is FINALLY finished.
Just a refresher, this is the Breakstone Class ISS Amazon, NCC-71763 from a Mirror Universe where the Terran Empire never fell.
She's built from a AMT Reliant with the correction kit and shuttlebay from Federation Models, and the Ascension style nacelles. I've also installed the PNT models Saucer deflector.
She was base-coated in grey primer with details in darker greys, black washing, and some craft metallic blues.
The markings are all custom.

Dude that so rocks! I love the Terran Empire insignia's. Don't suppose you mind sharing the decal template? We can stick that in our downloads section.

BTW, is this the same mirror universe Kirk slipped into and the one that keep jumping back and forth into in DS9 and Enterprise?

Very nice. I picked up a conversion for a reliant class, but nothing this extensive. Too bad about the decals, but that is how you learn.

Maybe you learned the hard way, but that is the best way to learn. There is nothing that can compare to experience. Your next model will look so much better because of this. Also, you will be able to print your own decals from now on, and know that they will work.

So as long as you don't give up, you have improved your skill set. That is what is important at the end of the day. Not your failures. I expect to have a big string of them really soon. Going to build a few armor kits and give my hand at weathering like I have seen the the contest. It would be nice if the first one comes out great, but they won't. It takes failures to learn.

That looks really good - cool design. How are you finding working with those big decals? Any problems? Suggestions?

The reason why I ask is - I have an older issue of the Reliant, and I was thinking of using Round 2s' new decal set for it.

Actually didn't have too much trouble with the size of the decals.
And, I may grab one of those sets for myself to redo the aztecs on this.
Just remember that the set R2's putting out is to fit their new issue kit, so there may be some decal fit issues if they're used on an older kit
