G'Day All,

Another one finished for the year.
This one was a challenge with a mate, I was trying to describe the layering technique in painting figures.
This is the 120 Verlinden 101st Easy Co Thompson Gunner figured.
Used mainly Citadel paints for majority of the figure except the face, which was painted with enamels and the base which was painted with oils as well as citadel paints.

This is absolutely outstanding. Very impressive. I am looking forward to a time when I can do this level of work.

just keep trying Hook - I too never liked painting figures, but after watching and rewatching peoples builds here, on facebook and youtube, it all started to slide into place ....

I've only been doing figures for 4 years now... each one is done with new techniques ....

Doctor Faust on youtube was a great help .... although its focused on painting Warhammer size figures, I found the techniques can be applied to 1/72, 1/35, 120mm, 1/6 ... basically any size I've painted so far ....
And also you can use either enamel or acrylic paints the same way .....

keep trying.....

thanks

cheers
