During the last couple of weekends, I went to working on a couple of different projects.
One is still a WIP that I may post later.
The other was the 1/72 scale Tron Game Tank from Planet V.

We start with the basic parts layout after cleanup:

After gluing together the two halves of the main hull, there were a couple of nasty seams that showed their faces.

These were later filled with Aves Apoxie-Sculpt and sanded down.

The only mod I made on the turret was to take the smaller grinding bit in my Dremel and grind out a larger aperture to better fit the "barrel" of the gun

The model fully assembled

And after black primer coat and grey basecoat

I decided not to go with either of the "canon" schemes, and kind of create my own along similar lines.
First, I masked off the main body of the tank, leaving only the "treads" exposed.
Then, like I did with my older "Iron Man," I gave the treads a base coat of gold metallic, followed by a coat of candy red.

With that done, I added the white "v" to the cupola and then gave the triangle and a couple of details on the main turret a similar treatment as what i gave the treads.

So cool I had to go looking for one, but couldn't find it. You would think they wouldn't be so hard with the new movie coming out, but they are. The only thing I found was plans for a scratch built reconginzer.

Quit tempting me with your pretty builds.....I must not spend money....... ;)

Looks great Quaralane an interesting change in colours, nifty.

I have only ever seen these sold on starshipmodeler,i have the 1/72 light cycles but always regret not buying the tank, thanks Quaralane you've made me sad now. :'( :'(

Sorry, Java.
And thanks for the compliments.

On a side note, the lightcycles came with the tank. I just didn't paint them up yet
