1/700 Artwox Japanese Aircraft Carrier Akagi Wood Deck

Has anyone here ever worked with this IJN 1/700 Akagi upgrade kit for the flight deck? Im especially hoping to get advice for sticking this on top of the OEM plastic flight-deck and not botching it. Also looking for advice on keeping it glued down as well.
