I've always been fascinated by late war German aircraft, particularly the jet powered ones and I had been wanting to build a Me-262 for the longest time so in 2020 I sat down with a Tamiya kit and went to work. I started with Tamiya's a1 offering with an Aires cockpit and landing gear bay set, a set of Eagle Cals decals and some Eduard wheels and tires.

After 6-1/2 Months I wound up with a finished model that I was pretty happy with. I built "White 3" which was Franz Stigler's aircraft in JV44 at the end of the war. The scheme was pretty tough but I managed to make my way through it.

Beautiful work man. It really looks incredible.
Very nice.......
Franz Stigler, same guy who didn't shoot down the B 17 "Ye Olde Pub"?
The same. If you haven't seen the tribute build on the Hammerhead Modeling YouTube channel it's a must.
