1/18 scale 21st Century Toys M4 Sherman

My experimental attempt with large pre-built toy armor. I've long been curious about the big toy-like models by 21st Century Toys, Forces of Valor or Ultimate Soldier. It's nice not having to build up and go straight to painting and weathering, but the large size requires a lot of paint and at times can be exhausting trying to cover so much surface area. Since these models were meant for playing with they are built like tanks (pun intended) with parts and extra stowage riveted on or something. This made it ideal for repeated mineral spirit washes since there are no glue joints to dissolve. Although I had fun with this M4 I think the larger scale armor (1/15, 1/16, 1/18, 1/24, 1/25) are very tiring and take too much resources and time, so I will stick with the standard 1/35 and 1/32 scales for armor.

Looks like a forgoten relic from the Pacific theatre..Saw a photo of of a M4 left on one of the beaches in the south Pacific..Like the effort taken to create it but love the use of a toy to create something new..thanx
