Will do.... Waiting on a new airbrush as well here but gets here tomorrow. I am planing on using a dedicated chipping medium not hairspray for this project. I also get last few things to get the Sherman project done as well tomorrow.... should be fun! Anxious to see how you do it, tried a few years ago without much success. But wanna learn!
Loll not...It looks like lots of little bits of funness![]()
Thems a lotta lie downs, like hand holds on a climbing wall!tie downs
Nice to see the feed lever and bolt switch are in the correct positions for left hand feed! I never thought I would see detail like this on a tiny .50 cal. I'm very impressed. This is hands down the best .50 machine gun I have ever seen in this kit.... Look at the detail inside the feed cover,
Yes will have some battle marks.... coming along great!
You gotta stop driving it directly into live fire!![]()
Yeah I may add more bare and rust there. Still have seats decals so on to in there as well before I can button up.The non-skid floor looks amazing. I guess being open top it would catch a lot of dirt, water and dust.
I would imagine a lot of scuffed areas down to primer and even metal.
Folks often mention the relatively short operational life of armour in combat... weeks, a few months at most on average... so that could be a clue as to how much rust there might be before it got knocked out.
From a builder/painter perspective though, it's looking awesome! And fun to do!

The paintwork is very good, but I maintain that there is far too much chipped and scuffed paint — these vehicles were not that old when they were in use. Dirt, yes, because even though the soldiers would probably try to wipe their boots before getting in, they would inevitably carry some (or a lot, if they were in a hurry) inside. But the chipped paint and rust make it look like this vehicle has been in use for a decade with no maintenance whatsoever.Reaching for that heavy weathering interior.... Thoughts??
