Buy the better air brush

So I just got my Iwata High Performance HP-C, and what a difference from my Revolution CR3, which isn't a bad airbrush to begin with. I really didn't think there would be much of a difference since both are .3mm needles, but the High Performance just feels and performs so much better. Theres about an $80 difference but if you're in the market buy the better one.

Does the "HP" stand for high performance?

Asking because I got the HP too and it is pure joy.

I would suggest getting the 0.5 needle/nozzle for applying primer or clear coats, but the 0.3 is really good for pretty much anything else.

I don't think so because my Revolution is HP CR3. I also have the Revolution HP CR, no 3, and that is .5mm. I do use that one for clear coats. Kind of confusing naming on their part.

That's a general rule I follow, the principle of frugality. Which doesn't mean being cheap, but means not wasting anything. And sometimes going for the cheaper selection means buying something that needs replacing sooner, so in the end, you wind up spending more. Investing in good tools is good sense, if they work well and last long.

Yeah. I have found a couple under $100 I really like, but I wish I had just bought 1 for $200 instead.
